Background of the Campaign


The Nationhood and National Pride (NNP) Campaign program was conceived during Cabinet retreat in 2006, followed by the Presidential directive to Cabinet in 2007, that: the Government through MICT, develops the NNP Campaign as a vehicle to support and sustain the Namibian citizenship and motivate our individual and collective consciousness of our duty, commitment obligations and responsibility to the nation and to each other as fellow citizens of Namibia, the “Land Of The Brave”.
His Excellency President Hifikepunye Pohamba officially launched the NNP campaign on 27th April 2011 with the aim of addressing social ills such as tribalism, violence against women and children, vandalism of public properties and crime amongst others.



The vision of the NNP is to ensure that Namibia remains a thriving , caring, dignified and unified nation.



NNP strives to educate, empower and encourage Namibians in every walk of life to be flexible, useful, productive, professional and caring citizens
