Name : Mbeuta Ua-Ndjarakana
Mr. Mbeuta Ua-Ndjarakana is the current Permanent Secretary and Accounting Officer of the Ministry of Information and Communication Technology. He started in the same portfolio in 2007 when the Ministry was still known as the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting.
In 1992 he became the first Regional Councillor and Governor of the Otjozondjupa Region, being responsible for the establishment of an administrative structure and coordinating central Government activities in the region.
Following his reign as Governor he assumed the post of Permanent Secretary and Accounting Officer from 1999 to 2003 at the then Ministry of Prisons and Correctional Services, he retained the same position again from 2005 to 2007. After this he was assigned to the Office of the Prime Minister, Cabinet Secretariat, responsible for research and advise on emergencies and natural disasters in the country.
Mr. Ua-Ndjarakana holds a Masters in Public Policy and Administration from the University of Namibia. He serves on the Namibia Qualifications Authority Council, as well as the Financial Inclusion Advisory Body of the Bank of Namibia.
